New architectural shingle roof and front porch on the Austin home, viewed by drone.

This Austin roof replacement combined new shingles with work at the skylight, ventilation, roof pipes and rear gutter. The job record marks the project completed in February 2026.

The new roof from above

Three drone views show the replacement shingles across the front porch, rear roof slopes and intersecting ridges. The overhead view makes it easy to see how the roof sections meet around the central chimney. A final before photo provides a comparison with the older roof.

Skylight and roof details

The close-up photograph shows the installed glass skylight and surrounding flashing. The drone photographs were taken after the new shingles were installed, while the skylight opening was still covered; the separate detail shows the later installation.

The documented scope includes a 2 × 4 VELUX fresh-air skylight, three slant-back vents, eight 3-inch boot jacks around roof pipes, ridge ventilation and satellite-dish removal. Resetting and leveling the rear gutter and painting the chimney cap were also included in the work record.

Planning roof replacement in Austin

Roof replacement can involve more than the visible shingles. When requesting an estimate, identify skylights, roof openings, ventilation and gutter details that need attention. Explore our roof replacement service or request an assessment so those items can be addressed in a written scope.
