Compare TAMKO product and enhanced roof-system warranties, workmanship coverage, transfer questions and the documents to keep.
Start with the exact warranty name on your proposal. Product coverage, wind provisions, installation workmanship and hail coverage are different promises. A long headline term does not tell you which problem is covered or what a claim would pay.
Compare the coverage before the number of years

This explains manufacturer options; it is not an offer of every package from Barnes N’ Roofs. We confirm the contractor eligibility, materials and coverage available for your roof in writing.
Keep a roof record, not just a brochure
Signed proposal, final invoice and installation date.
Shingle name, color, accessories and product labels when available.
Issued warranty and registration confirmation if required.
Photos of preparation, concealed repairs and the completed roof.
Manufacturer and contractor contact information.
Selling the home? Check transfer rules early
The reviewed standard warranty allows one transfer of laminated-shingle coverage within five years, or Elite Glass-Seal coverage within two years, with written notice within 30 days of transfer. Enhanced and HailGuard documents must be checked separately. Do not assume a home sale transfers every warranty automatically.
If a problem develops
Document when you noticed the issue and contact the appropriate warranty provider promptly. A conversation with your roofer or insurer does not substitute for notice required by the manufacturer. Follow emergency-protection guidance and the claim instructions before non-emergency work could remove evidence.
